I do have a comment about them, it is going to be epic, I will split it up so you don’t have to read all of them, just the ones you care about…but I am feeling somewhere in the 10k+ words range.  Still getting my thoughts organized.

I sent an email to Senator Obama.

Basically, I know that only a few people read this blog, but maybe some key words will get a google search and then someone will read this and see the crap that the government and the media has spewed all over our faces.

My name is Michael Masterson, I am 20 years old, I live in a growing town in Southern California.  I have some questions about you and what you say you want to do as president.

You are always talking about “Change”, but it seems that you aren’t actually changing anything.  The things you say you are going to change only look like you are going to give them a face lift, that is not what this country needs.  Why do you think that the changes you are going to offer interests me or anyone else for that matter.

You say that you are going to give a tax cut to the lower/middle class, why?  I consider myself in the middle class.  I don’t understand why you are supporting an illegal enterprise.  The Federal Income Tax is illegal and you are supporting it?!  That just drives me insane.  How can you support the illegal entities that go against the rules and guidelines that founded this great country, The Constitution.

I don’t have a source for this, but I recall you saying something about a 50 Billion dollar economic stimulus.  I have one question.  Where the hell is that money coming from?  Are we going to borrow more from China?  The Chinese government has told its banks to stop lending money to the US banks because our economy is about to take a huge fall.  Some of will make it others will not.  What will you do then?  This change you promise cannot happen if you only alter our current state and you and I both know it.  So why lie to the people of this country when your ideas and plans wont actually solve anything, just give it a face lift so it looks more attractive?  If you want my vote you are going to have to stop and take a look at the people of this country.  We don’t want our hard earned money to be taken against our will and illegally by the IRS.

I will not be voting for you, I will not be voting for McCain.  I was not allowed to vote in the 2004 elections, due to my age, I had been looking forward to 2008 for many years, I mean who wouldn’t?  I finally get a say in the way my future will end up looking like.  Then I am given you or McCain to choose from if I actually want my vote to count?  I and many other Americans are sick and tired of voting for the candidate who sucks the least, and this election is the same as all the ones before it, and unfortunately for many elections to come.

And finally I would like to ask you why you don’t really ever answer questions or actually say anything, you just talk in circles.  The debates were on last night, I watched it for a little while, but after realizing that McCain is incapable of being in office and after looking at what you are saying, you just talk in circles and then say something about change and the audience goes wild.  There is no doubt in my mind that you are an amazing person, you are clearly very smart, you can deliver an amazing speech but beyond that, you have done nothing to prove to me or anyone else that you are ready for a position that some call “the most powerful person in the world”.

If you could spare an hour and fifty-one minutes of your time for me, an American citizen like yourself and watch a documentary on google videos, it is called America: freedom to fascism.  Watch it, listen to it, you could even go as far as to do some research on your own time and please save this country.

The fact that he realized his mistake, that’s the only reason I forgive him.  People need to stop believing that they cannot do anything because they feel that their vote “doesn’t count” or me changing my views will “matter”.  You are so wrong and you should be slapped in the face with a trout.  I speak so openly about my beliefs about the government because well…I can.  And in its present form, it should not be allowed to control the future of my life.  My grandparents wanted the best life for my parents, my parents want the best life for me, I will one day want the best life for my children.  But if this country keeps going down the well worn trail and jump to the road less traveled, we then can perhaps see that the road that has been traveled by many is not the best road to take.  We know no other road, sadly a vast majority of the country has accepted the blinders that the government and the media has given them, they don’t fit well, but they fit.  They are like the bulky red/blue 3D glasses you wear at the movies.  You are intrigued by the level of reality you see on the screen but in the back of your mind you are thinking, well this headgear I’m wearing isn’t that comfortable, but everyone else is doing it.  So you sit there watching what everyone else is watching, but there are a few of us that take these glasses off and see the horror that is really right in your face.

PEOPLE, take the glasses off, remove the blinders.  Get out of your damn comfort zone and start questioning the government.  Start questioning the Media.

So, whats up with all the indirect pressure…

Whenever I tell someone that at this point in my life that I have no interest in ever getting into a relationship with someone, settling down and having kids, the whole 9 yards.  They always look at me like I am a moron.  I have never had much interest in relationships more than friendship.  I don’t really know why I have not been interested in them, just I don’t care.  Relationships just seem to be a silly waste of time with too many rules.  I guess that because of my life style I don’t think that someone would be able to cope with it.

I haven’t had a good nights sleep in almost 3 years.  I have not woken up feeling refreshed in almost 3 years, I don’t have any idea why.  I don’t know if these two things are related.  Considering that a relationship I was in ended 3 years ago, shortly after it ended I stopped sleeping well, or at least that’s when i started to notice it.  I am just tired of people being so confused with my decision to have no relationships beyond friendship.  I just don’t feel that I could love someone in the way needed to have a meaningful relationship with them.

I have no issue with being single forever.  I am just sick of people telling me that i must have a relationship, get married, have kids, etc.

The last time someone told me to do something was go to college, they said that “If you want to go anywhere in life you have to go to college…”  What a load of crap that was.  Granted some careers need a college education, but not all of them.  Why should I gamble potentially tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars.  Half of me  thinks I should get a student loan and then go to Vegas with it, it’s the same thing basically.  College doesn’t guarantee you anything at all.  All it does is gives you better chances of doing what you “love” Which after 4-8 years you are burnt out, and oh wait!  Now you have to work till you are 40 paying off student loans, college just doesn’t seem like a good investment.  The return on your money seems like such a gamble.  I would rather take the money for college and but an apartment complex and rent the rooms out, it would be a faster return.  Or buy a franchise…or start a franchise.

Basically what I am saying is that look at what people say they NEED to go far in life, and question it.  Do you really need to spend 8 years working your butt off to pass exams just to keep doing that same thing for the rest of your life, after college you are so burnt out on it you may not ever want to work in that field ever again, but alas you must because…well that is what you went to school for.  That is just stupid, plain and simple.  How many people do you know that work in the field that they went to college for?  I can name only a few…but nowhere near a majority.

I don’t need to get married, I don’t need to go to school.  I need the beach and I need my escape.  The only way I truly feel like a person is when I have to load in a show at 9am and have it up and running at 10am, high stress environments, not knowing if my next paycheck is going to cover all the bills.  It is a rush living on the edge, who in the right mind would take a full time job, Monday- Saturday…the same old thing, that repetitiveness would drive me mad.  Knowing that my next paycheck is going to be exactly as the one before it.  You have no ability to move about if your paycheck is exactly the same if you work 40 hours or 60 a week.  If I want to buy something I don’t have to save up for months.  I just have to work more.  Take a few more jobs, If I want to sit on a beach or on my computer for a week straight I can, If I want to work everyday for a month or 2 I can.

So take a look at what people around you are doing, don’t be so quick to judge them because, well…they are not like you, they don’t have the same social views as you.  You have no right to judge anyone on anything.

PS.  This is just a general statement, not directed at anyone in particular.  But is directed at people.

Last day.

So I am sitting here at the hotel lobby, waiting for someone to get back here to pick me up because they didnt think to call me to see if I wanted to go see the final product of all the hard work I have been doing in the past month+. A lot has happened sense the first day I showed up to the job with my shorts and running shoes on. At first glance the project looked simple, and really it was. A few things I would have done different but, to each their own. So the last 4 days I have gotten roughly 14 hours of sleep, I worked a 47 hour day, which is now a new personal record.

I met some really awesome people some that I worked with others that are “locals”. But some of the most strange and odd things have happened in FHouston, yes FHouston. The hotel we were staying at originaly got robbed at gun point, saw a cop pull over some black people who were standing near a bus stop. Went to see NASA, which was awesome because we got to see the live camera feed from the space station and the sun was rising in India. Does that mean that I was in India and Texas at the same time? Eh, probably not. I saw a cop pull over another car with black people in it and pull guns on them with me being stuck in the traffic it caused by the cops only two cars behind the car the guns were pointed at, yea sketchy. Found a nice little steak house called “The Salt Grass”, some good food thar… Listened to Apple Bottom Jeans in the main sanctuary at full blast. I got to hug another man hanging 40 feet of the ground, I also got to dance 40 feet off the ground as well. Billy baker came to work for a few days, as well as Curtis and Shane. I am the king of Triax, which I learned how to make before I learned how to make coax, strange… I cant feel the tips of my fingers because they are burnt from all the sodering.

I want to go home finally, my flight leaves at 3PM local time today and I should be home around 7PM tonight.

I also saw someone with a t-shirt that had Huntington Beach on it and I asked the people if they were from there and they replied that they lived in Vancouver, boring conversation.

I also lost my camera, so I gotta buy a new one.
